Benjamin West is a multimedia journalist from Richmond, Virginia who recently packed everything he owned into a 2003 Honda C-RV and made the trek to Seattle, Washington. He was most recently employed by Local Voice Media — managing two daily newsletters and producing stories ranging from hard news to crisis reporting to feature pieces. Benjamin has lived all over the eastern seaboard, as well as in China and Japan.

 

Though he thrives on the arts and culture beat, Benjamin is proficient at writing and adapting to any project or medium. Graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University last spring with a bachelor's degree in mass communications, Benjamin has gained ample experience with graphic design; photo, video and audio editing; and print pieces.
